Privacy Policy

LysnBox is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your device — no data is ever sent to external servers, no account is required, and nothing is tracked.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No personal information
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No crash reports sent externally
• No advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No contacts, camera, or microphone access

What Stays on Your Device

LysnBox stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Book content — imported EPUB, PDF, or pasted text is saved to your device's Documents folder so you can resume reading
• Reading position — your paragraph-level cursor is persisted locally across app launches
• Voice model — the Supertonic 3 AI model (~400 MB) is downloaded once and stored in Library/Caches on your device

Audio is ephemeral — it is synthesized live and never written to disk.

Deleting Your Data

You have full control over all data stored by LysnBox:

• Delete a book — swipe to delete any item in your library to permanently remove its text and reading position from your device
• Delete the voice model — the Supertonic 3 model stored in Library/Caches is automatically cleared by iOS when storage is low, or you can remove it via Settings → General → iPhone Storage → LysnBox
• Delete everything — uninstalling LysnBox removes all locally stored books, reading positions, and cached voice model data from your device

Network Access

LysnBox requests network access only for:

• Voice model download — a one-time download of the Supertonic 3 model (~400 MB) on first launch. This is stored locally and never re-uploaded.
• "From URL" feature — when you paste a web URL, LysnBox fetches the article text from that URL. The fetched text is processed entirely on-device and is not transmitted to any server. No browsing history or URL is retained after the session.

No other network requests are made. The app is fully functional offline after initial setup.

Third-Party Services

LysnBox uses the Supertonic 3 TTS model by Supertone, which runs entirely on-device via ONNX Runtime. No data is sent to Supertone or any third party during synthesis.

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because LysnBox does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers, there is no personal data held by the developer to access, correct, or export. You may request deletion of any locally stored data at any time simply by deleting the app. For any privacy-related questions, contact us via the details below.

Do Not Track

LysnBox does not track you across apps or websites. No advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, or behavioural profiles are created or shared.

Children's Privacy

LysnBox does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
